Abstract:
The CropID product by GDA is a geo-referenced raster produced by GDA Corp under a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract with the USDA/FAS/GMA/IPAD.
GDA CropID maps utilize time series of GDA GeoChronicles™ imagery coverages. GDA GeoChronicles™ are global time series of 10-day, 10-meter analysis ready imagery coverages produced by GDA Corp from Copernicus Sentinel-2A/2B and Landsat 8.
GDA uses deep time series of GeoChronicles™ composites to identify crop type locations during each given season.
The 250-meters CropID product was originally produced at 30-meters spatial resolution. The final 30-meters crop mask was resampled to 250-meters for use on the USDA/NASA Global Agricultural Monitoring (GLAM) system at https://glam1.gsfc.nasa.gov/.
License:
GDA grants USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) a Federal Government-wide license to utilize the 250-meter products for Federal Government applications such as the USDA/NASA GLAM system (https://glam1.gsfc.nasa.gov/)
